What is Favini Prisma?
Prisma is the felt-marked paper in the Favini portfolio, recognizable for its texture and wide range of applications. It is available in four versions: One-sided, Two-sided, Prisma Metallic, and also a version for digital printing.

This depth of offering makes Prisma a paper suitable for projects across a wide range of fields. One-sided paper (printed on the front and smooth on the reverse) has always been used for products within Favini’s School, Office, and Creativity division. Whilst the two-sided version meets the demands of the graphic design and communications industries. It is the perfect paper for greeting cards, cosmetic boxes, and all applications where texture plays a complementary role in communication.
What is felt-marked paper?
Before presenting Prisma’s new features, it is important to highlight its distinctive characteristic: the felt marking on the surface. This finish is achieved using special cylinders during production, while the sheet is still wet, giving the paper a pleasant, natural texture.
The result is a paper with microreliefs and impressions that create a play of light and shadow, evoking the imagery of an optical prism and the paper’s ability to capture white light, refract it, and break it down into new shades.

Quali sono le novità di Prisma?

Despite the brand’s long history and distinctive character, Favini Prisma has recently undergone a process of study and refinement, a journey that has breathed new life into this classic paper and strengthened its identity. The goal was to create versatile shades capable of complementing various print techniques and coordinating with other papers and colours.
Four new shades have been introduced: Sage, Ecru, Dusky Blue and Powder. These new colours add versatility and personality to creative projects and are available in various weights:
- 350 g/m², designed for cards, clothing tags, and applications requiring presence and structure
- 220 g/m one-sided, ideal for contemporary creative projects
- 120 g/m² two-sided, for print communications, even in black-and-white, thanks to its excellent contrast
- 250 g/m², the classic board for folders, covers, and stationery sets
A refreshed, more robust, and more versatile collection that takes Prisma to the next level and opens new design possibilities with colours that captivate at first glance.
Where does the inspiration come from for Prisma’s new colours?
The inspiration for Prisma Favini’s new colours comes from an analysis of emerging trends across various sectors: fashion, with a particular focus on packaging and clothing tags, events, and the wedding industry; the fragrance sector, where the presentation box plays a key aesthetic role; the hospitality industry, with its welcome and party gift bags; and the communications sector, which requires high-quality brochures and materials.

Pantone Cloud Dancer 2026 and the new Prisma colours: how do they align with the latest trends?
Confirmation that we were on the right track came at the end of the year, when we discovered that the new Prisma shades are perfectly in line with Pantone Cloud Dancer 2026. Both belong to the same colour family, characterized by soft, dusty, and desaturated tones.
- Sage is a soft, velvety green with a grey undertone that gives it a subtle, natural look, perfectly complementing the delicacy of Pantone Cloud Dancer.
- Ecru evokes organic fabrics and materials; it is a neutral, warm, and dusty shade that enhances the clean lines of Cloud Dancer.
- Dusky Blue is a desaturated blue—elegant and measured—that shares with Cloud Dancer balanced and luminous character
- Powder is a non-pink pink—versatile and perfectly complementary to Cloud Dancer thanks to its ethereal, velvety texture.

A palette of soft, natural, and balanced tones that enhances the lightness of Pantone Cloud without overwhelming it, offering creatives a trendy and versatile range for designing packaging, stationery, and marketing materials.
