Once again this year, Favini is continuing its commitment to protect the ecosystem of Madagascar with the building of new nurseries for tree cultivation in Fianarantsoa, a village near Sahavondronina, the hub of project Voiala.

Over the next three years, the village will be able to reforest 25 hectares of exploited land with a wide variety of trees. As many as 18.224 trees are ready to be planted adding to the 12.500 trees planted in 2013.

The project includes an education programme in order to teach people modern farming techniques that are respectful of the local ecosystem, and that contribute to the development of an ecologically based tourism industry, whilst helping to improve the quality of life for the community as a whole.
