SPECIFICATIONS

Favini security papers are UV dull. Additional customised features and special requirements are available depending on final applications.

Colour

Favini security papers are manufactured in Natural White as standard.

Grammages

The range of grammages of Favini security papers is 75 g/m2 - 120 g/m2. For different grammages, please refer to a Favini representative.

Size

Favini security paper is delivered in reels or sheets.

 

WATERMARKS

Watermarks are an early and well-known technique for ensuring authenticity of a document. Favini offers single and double tone (shadow) watermarks as standard featuring the “S” and “double S” designs shown below.

Enhanced security can be achieved through the use of bespoke watermarks. Customisation can include company logos or security marks of varying complexity. Size and pattern repeat can be adjusted to suit the application.

 

FIBRES

The inclusion of fibres into paper is a method that offers a very good level of security. The fibres are very small synthetic threads in fixed widths and lengths randomly distributed in the paper. They can be visible or invisible to the naked eye and viewed with daylight or UV-lighting.

 

CHEMICAL REAGENTS

Favini security papers can be chemically treated to react to attempts at forgery or unauthorised alteration of a security document by changing colour. The reaction to solvents, acids, alkali and oxidizing agents causes an indelible mark.
